Wedding Photos

We're still gathering up pictures but in the mean time visit these blogs for more pics.

Just after the Pastor presented Mr. and Mrs. Jordan Joseph Smith to the congregation, Jordan swooped J'Nelle up in his arms and carried her down the aisle! Classic "Jordan" move for sure!

... And They Lived Happily Ever After!

Jordan and J'Nelle are hitched!!!!! The wedding went perfectly. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was ROCKIN'! Thank you to everyone who helped and served us to make this day possible! Specifically thank you to Annie and Katie who worked so hard on the cakes... they were awesome!
Because our whole family was in the wedding we didn't get very many good shots especially during the ceremony. I'll keep collecting pictures from people but here are a few just to give you a taste!
The wedding morning... Jordan's last morning waking up as a single! Of course he had Nate, Caleb and the Dowling boys spend the night!

5 Days to Go!

Last week family started coming in. Sara and Billie and their kids came in Tuesday and Aunt Cath and Rachel flew in on Saturday. Last week flew by and now we're down to the final week! Here's some pictures of us and the kiddos. Jord, Beau and Joey - Beau stayed with us last week while his mom was out of town. I definitely consider him my third brother. He is a blast to have around!

Mea has grown up so much! She talks fast just like her mom. She asks a lot of questions too. I think she'd rather talk than play!

Baby Jordan in the fridge enjoying some Ready Whip!

Billie and Me

Charlie and Mea helped me make the dough for the sugar cookies we are making for the Rehearsal dinner. They were a big help.

Here are the cookies we made. Rachel helped me frost them. They turned out really cute!

Just a few days to go!!!!!!

Do I hear wedding bells?

Only 13 days til the big wedding! Here are pictures from J'Nelle's second shower that we had on Thursday. It was a lot of fun. A friend, Wendy, opened up her beautiful home for the shower. She sure does know how to throw a great party!
This is a cookie tree. A few days before the shower a some of us girls went over to Wendy's and decorated the sugar cookies for it. They turned out really cute. The shower was a Starry Night theme. Later Katy and I had to tell about when we noticed J'Nelle had stars in her eyes for Jordan!

The Moms

The game that we played was a contest for the best wedding dress made out of toilet paper. We spilt up into three teams and then went to work on our models: Melisssa, Jacquelyn and Katie. Mom, Arlynn and J'Nelle were the judges. Katie's dress won...Yeah Kate:)!

Revive 2007

Here's a slide show of the pictures from Revive. We had a blast! The messages and worship were awesome. Hanging out and fellowshipping was also a highlight. We're so glad Celebration is back!
Probably the most provoking message was Brent Detwiler's on the last night. It was about denying yourself and taking up your cross. He explained how taking up your cross is in things as little as putting away something that isn't yours, or making your bed. He didn't just say "It's good to take up your cross," He brought it down to real, everyday life. Mr. Detwiler also told us that embracing your cross is hard and painful. It was encouraging to know that we are not alone in our struggle!
I pray that here in the Smith Home we will joyfully carry our crosses to the end!

4th of July

Yesterday, for the 4th of July a bunch of families from church went to the beach for the day. We had a blast swimming, throwing the football, playing paddleball, eating and just being together. More than 40 of us went! My family was there from 9:30 to 4:00 and we have red skin to prove it! Then we all went to the Dowling's for the evening. They had a bonfire and s'mores, we played ping pong and sang songs around the fire and watched fireworks. It was a fun day! Here are some pictures at the Dowling's.

Dad and Chad - Check out Dad's red legs! and if you zoom in you can see the faux hawk I did on him after he got out of the shower. He didn't really like it but all the kids kept commenting on it. I thought he looked adorable!

Uncle Lyle heading up the fireworks.

I had to post these hydrangeas that are growing in the back yard. I noticed them when I was mowing the lawn today and remembered back to when my mom and I planted them. Us kids had gotten her a pot of Hydrangeas for mother's day three years ago. I looked them up on the internet to see if they could live if you planted them. I found out that this type was only supposed to last for one season in the pot. Well you know me and Mom... we went ahead and tried it anyway! They have been growing great and get fuller every summer!

This weekend we are going to Revive at JMU. It's a conference for Sovereign Grace Churches in the VA area. We leave tomorrow morning so when we get back I'll post all the pictures. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!
