First Day of School

Today Josiah and I had our first day back at school! He began his TCC Pre-Calc Class today. Joey is already taking college classes!

I was back at VWC. Even though I've been dreading going back to school, I really enjoyed being there today. The Lord is so gracious to remind me that I can glorify him through being diligent in my studies. It's also provoking to remember that God created everything I'm learning about. This makes me so much more grateful for the opportunity of going to college.
B-ball stuff is starting up soon too. I'm so excited for this season!

Of course we had to do a funny one...

Guns and Cake

Today Josiah had his 17th Birthday Party. His birthday was on the 8th but today we finally found time to fit a fun party into our busy summer. The day began 2:30pm with airsoft. They played in the woods behind the Dowlings and had a blast! Then they came home for hotdogs at 7 and of course cake and icecream. We finished off the night with a good old game of capture the Flag! Here are some pictures to enjoy. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY SWEET LITTLE BROTHER!

Tea Party

Today Melissa and I had a Tea Party for the some of our neighbor girls. First we drank tea (juice) and ate chocolate covered strawberries, watermelon slices, cinnamon crepes, and blueberry muffins. Then each girl got to pick out flowers to glue on to their very own straw hat. They were a hit! We spent the rest of our time singing songs, playing "olden days" and dancing. It was a gorgeous day and fun was had by all!

We had a great time but I'm glad to be home. I've slept a lot and let my brain have some rest too!

The Clash!

Hello all... this is Maggie and right now I'm in Grantham Pennsylvania at the Clash. We're only on day two and it feels like we've covered enough to last a month! The seminars have been incredible! Some of the topics we've covered so far: Worldviews, Intelligent Design, The Kingdom of God, Techno Sapiens, Epistemology, Eschatology, Metaphysics and even more that I've forgotten! And we still have three days left! Not everything we've done is listened to lectures... in the afternoons we have competitive sports!

Here's a few photos... Coleman, Teresa, Heather and I are the girls from our church that came. We're having a blast even though our brains are about to explode!
